Shipping Policy

Last Updated: 4 September 2026

At Simply Essential, we aim to make sure your order reaches you safely and as quickly as reasonably possible.

Please read the following Shipping Policy before placing your order.

1. Shipping Method

All Simply Essential orders are shipped using ARAMEX Store-to-Door delivery services.

Orders are delivered to the delivery address provided by the customer at checkout.

Please ensure that your delivery information, including your name, address, telephone number and email address, is accurate and complete.

Simply Essential cannot be held responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

2. Delivery Time

Our estimated delivery timeframe is:

8–11 business days

The delivery timeframe begins once your order has been processed and dispatched.

The stated timeframe is an estimated delivery period and not a guaranteed delivery date.

Business days generally exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays.

Orders may occasionally arrive earlier or later than the estimated timeframe due to circumstances outside of Simply Essential's reasonable control.

3. Courier Delays

Simply Essential uses third-party courier services to deliver orders.

Although we work with our courier partners to ensure orders are delivered as efficiently as possible, we cannot guarantee that the courier will always meet the estimated delivery timeframe.

Delays may occur due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • courier network disruptions;

  • unusually high parcel volumes;

  • adverse weather conditions;

  • traffic or road closures;

  • strikes or industrial action;

  • public holidays;

  • incorrect or incomplete delivery information;

  • unsuccessful delivery attempts;

  • recipient unavailability;

  • remote-area delivery requirements;

  • operational or technical issues experienced by the courier;

  • unforeseen logistical problems; or

  • other circumstances outside of Simply Essential's reasonable control.

Where a delay is caused solely by the courier or another circumstance outside of Simply Essential's reasonable control, Simply Essential will not be responsible for losses, inconvenience or additional costs arising solely from that delay, to the extent permitted by South African law.

This does not exclude or limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

4. Orders Delayed Beyond the Estimated Delivery Period

If your order has not arrived within the estimated 8–11 business day delivery period, please contact us so that we can assist with tracking the shipment and, where appropriate, liaise with ARAMEX.

Customers should contact us if their order appears to be significantly delayed or if the tracking information indicates a delivery problem.

Where Simply Essential has failed to fulfil an order within an agreed period, any rights the consumer may have under applicable South African law remain unaffected.

5. Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information where tracking is available.

Tracking information is provided by the courier and may take some time to update after the parcel has been collected.

Simply Essential is not responsible for temporary inaccuracies, delays or interruptions in courier tracking information.

6. Failed Delivery Attempts

The courier may attempt to deliver your order to the address provided at checkout.

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • nobody is available to receive the parcel;

  • the address is incorrect or incomplete;

  • the recipient cannot be contacted;

  • access to the delivery location is unavailable; or

  • another issue prevents successful delivery,

the courier may arrange a further delivery attempt, collection or other procedure in accordance with its applicable delivery process.

Additional costs resulting from information or actions attributable to the customer may be the customer's responsibility, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order.

Simply Essential cannot be responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional delivery costs resulting from:

  • an incorrect address;

  • an incomplete address;

  • an incorrect telephone number;

  • an incorrect postal code;

  • an incorrect recipient name; or

  • other inaccurate information provided by the customer.

If you notice that your delivery information is incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will attempt to assist, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made after an order has been dispatched.

8. Lost or Missing Parcels

If your parcel appears to have been lost or has not been delivered despite the tracking information indicating otherwise, please contact Simply Essential.

We may contact ARAMEX to investigate the shipment and determine its status.

Customers may be asked to provide reasonable information required to assist with the investigation.

Simply Essential will take reasonable steps to assist customers with genuine delivery issues and will comply with any remedies required by applicable South African consumer law.

9. Damaged Parcels

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please contact Simply Essential as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, we recommend taking photographs of:

  • the external packaging;

  • any visible damage;

  • the product; and

  • the shipping label.

These photographs may assist us and the courier in investigating the issue.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have in relation to damaged or defective goods.

10. Delays Outside Our Reasonable Control

Simply Essential will not be responsible for a delay, failure or interruption in delivery caused by circumstances that are genuinely outside our reasonable control, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This may include events such as natural disasters, severe weather, strikes, civil unrest, government restrictions, major transport disruptions, courier network failures, or other unforeseen events that prevent or materially interfere with delivery.

Where reasonably possible, Simply Essential will provide appropriate assistance or updates regarding significant delivery disruptions.

11. Delivery Risk

Simply Essential will comply with applicable South African consumer protection laws regarding the delivery and risk associated with goods.

Nothing in this Shipping Policy is intended to transfer risk to the customer prematurely or to exclude a statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Delivery Areas

Delivery availability is subject to the serviceable areas covered by ARAMEX.

Certain remote or restricted areas may be subject to different delivery arrangements or additional delivery time.

If ARAMEX cannot service a particular delivery address, Simply Essential will contact the customer where reasonably possible to discuss an alternative arrangement.

13. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed before being handed to our courier partner.

The 8–11 business day timeframe is an estimated delivery timeframe and may be affected by order processing, courier collection schedules and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

During periods of unusually high demand, promotions or public holidays, processing and delivery may take longer than usual.
